An Improved Azimuth Ambiguity Suppression Method for SAR Based on Ambiguity Area Imaging and Detection

In this paper, an azimuth ambiguity suppression method based on area imaging and detection is proposed, which suitable for various modes such as strip, spot multi-channel mode. The basic idea of to focus the image each single-look complex (SLC) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) through reversible signal processing method, then strong targets in focused are detected eliminated. Finally, real target main obtained inverse operation. This can remove most while maintaining quality original greatest extent. segmentation background pure used eliminate error caused by single threshold detection, construction focusing filter spotlight mode studied. has good performance engineering application. results spaceborne SAR images show effectiveness validity method.
